There’s something lovely about watching a character take shape, one round at a time. Baby Bat brings together a rounded body, expressive ears, contrasting wings and embroidered details.
Follow the written instructions and photographs through construction and assembly. Both sizes use the same instructions, with different yarn and hooks to change the finished size.

Sizes, yarn & materials
Larger bat: approximately 15 cm. The sample uses a 3 mm hook, #3 light worsted yarn (approximately 91 g total) and 12 mm safety eyes.
Smaller bat: approximately 10 cm. The sample uses a 2 mm hook, #2 fine yarn (approximately 33 g total) and 10 mm safety eyes.
You will also need small amounts of white and soft pink yarn, a tapestry needle, scissors and fiberfill. Finished size varies with yarn, hook and tension. Follow the PDF’s yarn-substitution guidance.
Small detachable parts can be hazardous to children. Choose materials and facial details appropriate for the intended recipient; the pattern does not certify a finished toy’s safety.
